If Here You Stayed

2016 If Here You Stayed

Taipei premiere 2016. Director: LIN Cheng-Tsung

Interweaving social fantasies and clamors in contemporary circus. Circus and acrobatics + bamboo craft + sound installation + a dialogue of light and shadow.

Suppose two well-known figures of Taiwan's history, Chiang Wei-shui and Teng Yu-hsien, were alive today: what would they want and think when facing the conflicts of modern society? The show re-presents social scenes through contemporary circus and juggling gear made of bamboo. Sound and images bring these fantasies and clamors together in the flesh.

If here you stayed, would we find a way out?
