The Soul of Objects

2023 The Soul of Objects

Everyday folk crafts are full of play, and many playful crafts exist all over the world. A French circus artist and a Taiwanese musician create together, crossing tradition and today, the global and the local, starting from folk games and toys, so that a childlike artistic soul can leap into a land of wonder.

Ordinary objects, overlooked or fixed by their function, receive a soul again. Juggling and object theatre give them many characters and possibilities. Folk objects, juggling, dance, puppetry, play and role-play summon the endless imagination of things on the square, moving between the time and space of Taiwan and France.
